Botany Unit 1: practical aim

Study palisade, guard, parenchyma, collenchyma, sclerenchyma, xylem and phloem cells from temporary/permanent slides. The 3D lab gives a realistic apparatus view, guided steps, calibrated controls and a student observation table so the practical can be rehearsed before the school lab.

How to use the virtual practical

Use the compact controls to change specimen, concentration, field, time or instrument setting. Press Next step to follow the method. Press Record to add the current observation to the practical notebook. Rotate the model only when you need a closer view; Reset view returns the correct examination angle.

Observation and result

Record the observation under “Microscopy observation”, include units where applicable, and write the conclusion with a reason. In microscopy practicals, count multiple fields; in physiological and biochemical practicals, compare the experimental tube with a control.
